Julie Scott, Scottish-born musician, artist, community builder & and vocal coach, invites you to ‘Songs of Home’, a Celtic-inspired concert that weaves together landscapes, memories and inner worlds. Her Scottish roots beat at the heart of her work: old songs are mixed with new tunes, personal stories and anecdotes. At the same time, Julie is a traveller, both on the road and in spirit. Together with her husband, she lived as a ‘professional nomad’ for five years, moving from house to house, carrying songs and stories from every place she inhabited.
Her concerts are never fixed programs, but living encounters between old and new, between audience and performer, between your story and someone else’s.
The songs are cinematic, both tender and strong, the stories honest and poetic. Songs of Home is an ode to the traveller in all of us; the part that dares to wander, to question, to listen, and to find home in unexpected places.
Alongside her concert, Julie will also offer a workshop in voice and expression. With over twenty years of experience leading retreats, courses and one-on-one sessions, she has guided hundreds of people in rediscovering the depth and freedom of their voice. Her work ranges from intimate private lessons to large-scale community projects, always rooted in the belief that the voice is both instrument and mirror — a way of finding presence, power and connection.
Known for projects like Screech at the Beach Sea (her project that went viral worldwide twice) and her ceremonial work with Burning Man Netherlands, Julie creates spaces that are raw, playful and deeply human. In this workshop you are invited to breathe, sound, release and reclaim the full spectrum of your voice — to howl if you must, to sing if you dare, and to experience the joy of voices truly free from judgement.
