Marte haverkamp - eco printing
WORKSHOP // Nature hides many secret colors within it. During the ecoprinting workshop we will discover together which ones! We search the estate for flowers and leaves of shrubs and trees. With these flowers and leaves we will make prints on textiles. By arranging the flowers and leaves in your own way everyone creates his own pattern. Together we explore different techniques to create patterns with the flowers and leaves. Everyone makes a piece of fabric for the estate, from which we make a large piece of art and a scarf for yourself.
Marte is an artist and specializes in natural dyeing of textiles. She uses the naturally dyed pieces of textile in her wall hangings and Haori jackets, a Haori is a Japanese overcoat that used to be worn over the kimono. Marte also gives several workshops in natural dyeing for adults and children. Sometimes it is about the creative process and we all make a big work of art together and other times purely about the knowledge and craft of natural dyeing techniques.
